Founded in 2019, Moms with Game is a lifestyle blog about the intersection of motherhood and gamerdom. The reason for starting Moms with Game was simple: a craving for community.

Our Moms:

Beth lives in Georgia with her husband, toddler daughter, infant son, two cats, and basement full of video games. She has a full-time job and a crazy commute. Beth describes her parenting style as “instant oats mama.” She’s a crunchy mama who also appreciates modern conveniences (uses cloth diapers, breastfed and supplemented with formula, room-shared but didn’t bed-share). In her spare time, you’ll catch her playing exploration (Subnautica), simulation (Stardew Valley), survival (Don’t Starve), or puzzle (The Witness) games. And she’s counting down the days until her daughter is old enough to play Banjo Kazooie.

Laura lives in North Carolina with her family consisting of her husband, 11-year-old daughter, and 8-year-old son. She loves music and video games, but found it much easier to find time to play them while her kids were infants and toddlers (much to the opposite of what every one assumes about having kids).  Her gaming style is how-many-useless-virtual-items-can-I-collect-and-how-alone-can-I-be-while-I-play. Not so patiently waiting for Animal Crossing Switch.
